At 85 years old, Bubbles is the genuine article. The factory
records indicate that she was supplied initially to a buyer in
Caernarfon. Thereafter her history is a complete mystery until she was
found in a Welsh forest in 1974, where she was being used to drive a
saw off the rear wheel. Following restoration, she returned to the road
in 1976, and I bought her in 1990.
Since then, she has carried
many marrying couples, some of whom will, by now, be celebrating their
20th anniversary. Now getting older (as am I), I like to treat her a
little more gently these days, but if you don't need to cover a great
distance (and if you don't want to get anywhere too quickly) she is
still up to the task.
What's more, wherever she goes, she makes people smile ... that's her job!
