 Other
than the colour of the hood, there is little to choose between these
two cars on the outside. The main difference lies under the bonnet, an
area which is unlikely to concern you so long as it makes the right
noise and causes the wheels to turn. For those who are interested,
however, a brief specification appears below.
Both of these
professionally built replicas are based on modern mechanical parts,
providing modern standards of performance and reliability combined with
the vintage character that these pictures show. Since acquiring them,
Colin has made a number of improvements to the specification, notably a
modified seat mechanism which provides easier access to the rear seat
in this 2-door car than in a standard 4-door model. Depending upon the
bride's choice of wedding dress, this might be an important
consideration.
These cars may be driven with hood up or down.
You may prefer to have the hood up on the way to the ceremony (to
protect the bride's hair-do) and, weather permitting, have the hood
down for photographs and the onward journey. Either way, we will be
guided by your preference, and the prevailing weather conditions.
